Double the Cuteness

I could not wait to get my hands on my nieces and snuggle those precious babies.  Finally, with a horrible cold behind me,  I jumped on the first opportunity I had once they were home to get out west to see their sweet faces.

OH.MY.GOODNESS... 9 lbs of pure sweetness between those two. I look at them and just marvel at how tiny yet so perfect they are...
{Miss Harper Marie}
{Miss Landry Elizabeth}
The girls are doing SO great.  Landry is up to 6 lbs 4 oz and Harper is pushing almost 5 lbs now.  I got to take some newborn pictures of them a couple weekends ago and cannot wait to share.  So much joy these two bring into our lives!

And a big hats off to Mom and Dad!  My motto has always been "it is the BEST tired in the world...".  There is just nothing like a newborn baby.

The Smith Baby Bump

I love capturing a baby bump and this time, I got to take some pictures of my sister and her belly!  This was just shy of 2 weeks before the twins arrived.  I am so glad we made it happen!  Here is a handful of shots.  Love these two and now four! more than ever.

Splash Park Play Date

We don't ever pass up an opportunity to meet our cousins for a play date so in July, we did just that.   We headed to the Splash Fountain to meet Nana and the boys for a fun morning in the sun!

Warning, picture overload but they tell the story of some pretty adorable, loving cousins.

First Day of School

Today was the first day of the school year for my little ones.  It didn't go as I had hoped as Addison was feeling under the weather and ended up back at home for the day but we still tried our best to look put together and snap a few pics before heading off to school with brother.

Our precious boy... I cannot get enough of his sweet cheeks.  Luke is 3 months this Sunday... this first year goes by way too fast!
Our bigger than ever 2 year old.  She is such a little girl now and so independent. "I do it" is a common phrase heard around our house.   Within an hour of this picture, she was curled up on the couch in her pajamas but we still got a picture for that baby book!

And some teacher treats for the kiddos teachers and the office staff we love!  As hard as it is to take by babies to school each day, we do love that they are in great hands.

"With you as my teacher, I'll be one smart cookie."

Pioneer Woman's Chocolate Chocolate White Chocolate Chip Cookies.... yes, that much chocolate and oh so delicious!

We are amazed at what Addison has learned from school and look forward to another great year for both Addison and Luke!

"Don't smile, Addison... don't do it..."  Stinker.

Not feeling good at all.  Poor thing... I am so mean.
Attempt at a picture together... in my dreams!  Love them anyway.

Checkup with Dr. G: Luke 2 Months

14 lbs 12.5 oz (91%)
24.3 inches tall (92%)

We have quite the big, healthy boy on our hands.
A+ from Dr. G.

I had my camera with me but had to opt for the iPhone out of convenience and to make sure Luke didn't roll off the table, hence the awkward angle.

Meanwhile, big sister was reading a few books.

Little Mister opted for a quick snooze after his vaccinations...

So big sister got a special treat for lunch...

And tonight, this little guy was exhausted.  Not much sleep today for him and a little fussiness I attribute to the shots but we still had some smiles.

Luke: 2 Months

Happy 2 Months to our Little Man.

 At 2 months you ...
  • are giving us smiles!!  We love it!  The baby coos are starting and your precious toothless grin is just the cutest thing ever.
  • are awake more and more
  • enjoy playing on your play mat, those little arms and legs go everywhere
  • are eating every 2.5 - 3 hours during the day and usually right at 3 hours at night.  We get an occasional break at night where you may go 4 - 5 hours but that has only happened a few times
  • are working through your tummy issues like a champ.  I think we have been through the worst of it.  Dr. G said you have a little bit of irritable bowel and there isn't anything we can do about it... you will grow out of it.  We also have you on reflux meds.  They seem to be giving you some comfort. We are slowly on the mend!
  • still have your umbilical hernia (poor little guy), something else that will go away with time
  • eat breast milk only but usually from a bottle
  • are getting so strong and are starting to get really great control of your little head
  • are getting better and better at tummy time

  • your favorite place to sleep is still on someone or in your bunny bouncer
  • sleep in your crib in your room at night as much as we can get you to, swaddled arms out; we have the green light from Dr. G to start some sleep training and self soothing.  Sorry in advance buddy.
  • are working really hard to find your thumb, I think that may become your best friend in lieu of a paci.

  • Mommy still sleeps in your room with you at night pretty often, hopefully you take to a better nighttime sleeping schedule soon and Mommy can get back to her bed.
  • your clogged tear duct is getting so much better on your left eye - yay!
  • enjoy car rides, going on walks and being outside
  • love your bath just like your sister
  • are already wearing size 2 diapers!  Seriously, already.
  • still have your blue eyes
  • haven't lost any of your handsome hair
  • have are starting to outgrow some of your 0-3 month clothes.  You are wearing some 3-6/6month outfits already.

Your big sister thinks you are pretty special and we do too!  You go with Mommy to take and pickup Addison from school each day and she is always sure to make sure you are okay when she sees you and loves to show you off.  If I happen to not have you with me, the first thing she asks is "where Bubba go?"  One time she asked me if I left you in the car.  I know you two will be the best of friends.

Little buddy, we sure do love you.
