Showered with so much love!

We have truly been overwhelmed with all the love for our little girl over the past month!   I traveled to Oklahoma for the last time before our little girl's arrival at the beginning of the March.   I always enjoy getting back up to our corporate office and this time my wonderful co-workers put together a wonderful baby shower.  My sweet friend Jennifer put her magical touch on the decorations.  The bottom tier of this diaper cake is made of burp cloths custom made by Jen.  I just love them!

Yes - adorable!  She should really go into business.

Jen also makes precious banners!
I am not sure what was so funny but I do know Baby C is spoiled!!  I think we were laughing at some of the comments made by our male colleagues.  They didn't really understand the purpose of all these baby things.

It was a wonderful couple of days at the office and I miss everyone in Norman already!
Thank you all so much for everything!

All of the great photos are courtesy of the very talented Beth Dean with Beth Dean Photography.  An extra bonus for working with someone that is also in the photography business.
If you are in Norman, you should check her out!

Belated Birthday Post

Mom, Ash and I headed south to Temple in late February to celebrate Brandon's birthday with him and the boys.  We had so much fun in our short visit.  Logan gets so into birthdays and could not wait to celebrate Daddy's special day.

Logan and Daddy played just about every sport in a matter of a couple hours including baseball, soccer, and tennis!   They love it outside.
Aiden doesn't stop long enough for a picture.... you have to catch him on the go.
These two really love each other.
While Brandon went for a jog, Nana and Aunt Ashley helped Logan decorate the house while Aiden was napping.   When Aiden woke up there were "boons" everywhere!
After a nice dinner out, we headed back to the house for cake and ice cream.
Logan had picked out just the right treat for Daddy.
 Happy Birthday Brandon!!
We love you and enjoyed celebrating your special day!
Don't mind Aiden.... I think he was already going after the ice cream.

Next up... Baby Showers!

Baby Update

We had a great appointment at the doctor today and I just had to share Baby C's latest picture.  I just want to pinch her cheeks already!  She is looking forward and the little hump right in the middle is the outline of her right cheek.   Love it!   Our little girl's heartbeat was a healthy 136 bpm and she is measuring 2 weeks early.  She is already weighing in at 4 lbs 12 ounces.  We may get to meet her earlier than we think or... she will just be a chunky, little miracle come May.   God sure is great!

9 weeks to go...

Wow!  We are 31 weeks today and so excited for another checkup tomorrow.  We had our first baby class this past Tuesday evening and have some more each week throughout this month.  Baby C is very, very active at all times of the day and I am still feeling really great!
 31 weeks!
Our Baby Girl's nursery is coming along and I am so very excited with some recent progress... bedding!! My amazingly, talented Aunt Sheri made our little girl's bedding (in a couple days, seriously) and I could not be more thrilled with how it has turned out.

I mentioned in an earlier post we were finished painting except for a few touch-ups here and there. We hope to get that done this weekend and put those paint brushes away for a little while. We (yes, I won't take complete ownership of this one) had this great idea to paint a harlequin (argyle) pattern on one of the walls in the nursery.  Here is how the project started....
Yes, with a calculator. Perhaps this was an early sign we were crazy!  This piece of paper eventually became an elaborate excel spreadsheet.

And an "in-progress" picture...
Side note, we learned Frog Tape works better than the blue painter's tape.  Take it for what it's worth.

Did I mention we LOVE how it turned out?! Josh is pretty handy... and I love him for that. The final product is lovely and you will just have to be patient to see it!
