McPherson Wedding - Tulsa, OK

I love weddings and I really love family weddings.  Get ready.  Picture overload.  You have been warned.

 {Uncle Bob and Aunt Kristi}
 {Cousins}

{Aunts}

 {Cousins}
 {Some good lookin' men!}
{My Mom and 5 of her 6 siblings}

 {Someone was having a good time... look at that hair!}

Our little lady danced the night away and lasted all night long.  Little brother was back in Texas with Mimi and Papa and feeling under the weather.  We enjoyed a weekend with our little lady.

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. McPherson!  That was a night to remember!

Luke: 7 Months

You are our chunky monkey and we just love you to pieces.  You are 7 months old and doing something new everyday.

{hey good lookin'...}

At 7 months you ...
  • are eating 8 oz at every feeding, 6 feedings a day, every 3 hours (still, like clockwork)
  • are also eating food!  We started introducing rice cereal to you at 4 months and you have never wanted anything to do with it.  At 6 months we got the okay to start fruits and veggies and they are going much better than cereal.  You are now consistently eating a good meal at dinner time before your last bottle of the day...
  • Like prunes, sweet potatoes, pears, apples, and bananas
  • breast milk only, always from a bottle
{I love this picture because you were laughing at Sissy}

  • You are a great sleeper at night.  In bed by 8:30 and up around 7.  Day time naps are a completely different story. Maybe 3 or so actual naps a week.  Yes! A WEEK.  Usually it is cat naps around a feeding throughout the day... it's painful, honestly.  BUT you are happy.
  • LOVE to suck on frozen fruit in your frozen fruit mesh holder... great invention!
  • STILL have that silly umbilical hernia.  Seriously, go away!
  • are starting to try and figure out that crawling thing.  You will try to get up on those toes when you are on your tummy.  You want to move SO bad.  I think we are still at least a month or so away from crawling. You are not up on all 4s yet. (thank you!)

  • would stay in a bath for hours.  You love it!  You are splashing and reaching for all of your toys.  It is often my favorite part of the day.
  • are OUT of your infant carrier.  Yep, you reached the weight limit, big boy!  We now have you in the regular car seat still rear facing.
  • are so, so talkative.  Your teachers always brag at how much you talk.  And you are LOUD.  Warning to any guests at our house, his loudest time of the day is first thing in the morning.  Get ready.
  • look like such a little man with your haircut.
  • still have those blue eyes.  Yay!
{Fresh out of your bath... naked baby!!}
  • go everywhere in your walker!  You have that thing figured out and amaze us daily with where you will take that thing.
  • still LOVE your jumper.
  • have 2 TEETH!  Your two bottom teeth came in at the exact same time about 2 weeks ago.  You did pretty good with it and you look pretty precious with them peaking out of your smile!
{Trying to get a picture of those teeth... look hard enough, you can see them!}
  • are wearing a few 9 month clothes but mostly 12 months.  I can't even begin to buy ahead because I have no idea what size you will be.  I swear we go on a shopping spree and the next week you can't wear any of it anymore!  Daddy actually thought I put you in shorts today... it was 40 degrees.  I didn't put you in shorts... they were pants... too small pants.
  • are in size 4 diapers. Size 4!  Your big sister was in a size 5 when she stopped wearing diapers at 2.5!

We are so, so thankful that you are strong and healthy.  You are our little chunky monkey and we love every one of those precious rolls to the moon and back little man.

7 months... I cannot believe it.  I am going to be planning your first birthday party before we know it  but for now, I am going to cherish these moments.  They are priceless.

Wedding Bells and our Flower Girl

Back in October (yes, I am that behind), my cousin got married in Tulsa.  Princess Alden as Addison called her asked Addison and two of my other cousins to be her flower girls.  To say this Momma was excited is an understatement.  I bought Addison a book about being a flower girls and we read it everyday, multiple times. As the wedding day approached, she could not wait!  She was going to be a "fowerr girl".  At 2.5, I was a little nervous - okay, a LOT nervous but she did very well for being 2.5.  Here are some pictures from our fun weekend in Tulsa!

First up... BRIDAL LUNCHEON.

{2 of the 3 flower girls}

{Mother of the Bride and the Bride... beautiful!}

Next up... REHEARSAL

Flower Girls - Grace (3), Kate (4), and Addison (2)

{Mom and two of her sisters}
Love, love this picture!

It was a fun night!  That little girl danced her little heart out and slept great!

Next up.... THE BIG DAY!

Halloween 2013

We had a great Halloween even though it was just a couple days before Halloween when I decided I should probably get costumes for our kids.  Addison was all over the place with what she wanted to be... a hero, a princess, a cowgirl... so Mommy went to the store and Minnie Mouse it was!

First, some pictures in the morning before school.

The day seemed to drag by for Mommy but finally it was time for pickup at school and to get my little ones home for a fun night.  Miss A was the cutest little Minnie around and totally into trick or treating this year.  We kept thinking it was our last Street and then she would want one more... just one more... and one more...

A super fun night with our sweet girl while Bubba slept in his stroller and a fun treat for Nana to join us! Can't wait for next year when we have a little man walking around with us.

PS. I think Halloween should always be on a weekend, just sayin'

Newborn Pictures...times TWO

I cannot get enough of this cuteness!  I had so much fun, with the help of my sister, my mom, and two of the cutest models ever, capturing these little miracles "tinyness" just shortly after they were discharged from the NICU.

We set up shop in our dining room, said a prayer, and started snappin'.   There is nothing like a newborn baby, nothing.  They are the best thing ever.

Here are my precious nieces, all 4 pounds of Miss Harper Marie (right) and almost 6 pounds of her precious sister, Miss Landry Elizabeth (left).

They are definitely not perfect or professional but boy, they are precious.  I just love, love, love these little ladies and their Momma and Daddy.

Landry and Harper are 4.5 months now and doing so well.  I stare at them in awe just to think of how much they have grown since their birthday.  Over 20 lbs of cuteness now between them and just the sweetest things ever.

Luke: 5 Months

Oh boy, you are just the sweetest little guy ever! We have had so much fun with you this past month.  You are all smiles and just so happy.  Your giggles are the absolute best and completely contagious.  I have found myself just starring at you in awe of the miracle you are.  From my belly just 5 months ago to this adorable, cuddly, full of life little guy you are now is the most amazing thing to witness.

At 5 months you ...
  • are eating 7 oz at every feeding, 6 feedings a day, every 3 hours
  • breast milk only, always from a bottle
  • Your nighttime routine is bath around 6:00 pm, bottle.... another bottle around 8 and in bed by 8:30 at the latest.  You cluster feed a bit at night.  Just in the past week you are sleeping through the night!  10 hrs.  Yes, 10 hrs!   For a week straight... in bed by 8 and sleeping until 6:30. You wake up so alert and happy.
  • hate cereal. Hate it.
  • sleep on your tummy
  • LOVE your fingers.  They are in your mouth ALL the time.
  • are no longer swaddled!
  • still have your umbilical hernia but it is getting smaller. I have a feeling it will be completely gone in the next month.
  • are SITTING UP!  You are so, so strong!  You are a little tipsy but for the most part, you are sitting up and playing with your toys like a big old boy.  You amaze us with your flexibility as you can fold completely in half and pop right back up to a sitting position.
  • have a clear eye now!  Your clogged tear duct opened up and boy do we love that wide-eyed grin you give us!
  • love your bath now that you are in your bath seat and are starting to play with your bath toys.
  • are ready for a bigger car seat.  You are over that laying back, infant-carrier business.
  • you pull my hair daily... and it hurts!  You have such a grip!
  • are SO talkative.
  • are very routine with your diapers... if you haven't had a blow-out by 7 am... it is an off day!
  • have a new friend at school and are no longer the youngest but I think you are still their favorite :)
  • still not the best napper but if you are sleeping at night, I will take you awake during the day!
  • need a haircut!  Your hair is thinning around where you lay your head down to sleep.  It is growing long on top and over your ears... we need a trim.
  • have such handsome blue eyes
  • LOVE your jumper.  You will entertain yourself for close to an hour and go pretty crazy.  It makes Mommy laugh out loud.
  • are starting to use your walker!
  • are teething.  BAD....SO.MUCH.DROOL.   Just as you start to get a good sleep pattern down of course!
  • are wearing 9 month clothes
  • are in size 3 diapers.

Happy 5 months Luke Matthew!
You bring so much joy to our lives and we just love you so!
Thank you Lord for the gift of life!  It is the most amazing blessing!
