Texas Family Time Part 1

I had the wonderful opportunity to spend some time with my family this past weekend. We found out Christopher was going to be in Austin for business and was bringing Thomas with him so we seized the opportunity to see them and planned a quick trip south. Temple is not too far from Austin so we (Dad, Ashley and I) made that our rest stop on Friday and enjoyed some quality time at Brandon's house. Mom had been there for a couple days already helping out with the little ones. My nephews are getting so big and are so much fun. Thomas is 5 now and very proud of it. Logan was a right by Thomas' side all weekend loving every minute of having "my Thomas" at his house. It was pretty precious. Aiden is crawling and pulling up anywhere and everywhere you let him go and learning new things every day. Here is a preview of his new talent - turn your sound on :)

New Beginnings...

I apologize, this post is a bit overdue...

A couple days before Christmas, Josh and I got some very exciting news.  Josh was presented with a job offer from Beck which he graciously accepted.  Josh interned for Beck this past summer and is really looking forward to entering the workforce with such a great company.  I had the opportunity to meet some of the Beck staff this past month while they were visiting OU.  What am amazing group of individuals! Josh will be working with a wonderful organization that not only has a passion for design and construction but also a genuine interest in their employees' career growth and abilities.   We are both very excited about the new beginnings that lie ahead for us. I could not be more proud of Josh and cannot wait to see the great success and accomplishments he will have with his career.  I think he is a rock star!

So what does this mean for us, the Oklahomans?  We will be moving to Dallas after graduation in May.  Josh will start at Beck the first part of June. I am very fortunate to be able to take my job with me and continue working for Nextep from the Dallas market.  One of the first things on our to-do list was to put our house on the market thinking it may take a few months to sell.  Well, we put our house on the market late January and it sold the first day it was listed!  In 3-weeks time, we listed our house, sold it, packed, closed on it, and moved across the street to a rent house.  A bit faster than we anticipated but a problem we feel very blessed to have.  We will be renting for the next few months while we search for our next home in the Dallas area and prepare for graduation.

What an amazing journey we have had in Oklahoma.  We cannot wait to see what Texas has in store for us!
