There is a first for everything and today was "First Piggytails Day" for Miss Addison.  Yes, she has that much hair!  We love it.

Meet Jack.

Josh and I were up in Oklahoma for the weekend a couple weeks back and had the opportunity to catch up with some great friends and family.  First, Addison finally got to meet all of my co-workers.  Saturday afternoon we got to visit with my sweet friend, Jen, and her family.  Jen is a good friend from work and just recently started a new job as a stay-at-home-mom!  We couldn't be more happy for her.  The Morris Family is expecting their second little blessing in December.  Avery is going to be such a great big sister.  She named one of her dolls Addison after our visit.  How sweet is that!?  I didn't have my camera with me... fail.

Now, meet Jack.  On Sunday, we finally got to meet John Denny Montgomery IV.

John and Emily are college friends of ours.  Josh and John are fraternity brothers.  The Montgomerys started dating just about the same time as Josh and I, we both got engaged about the same time, we got married in July, they got married in October the same year, we told each other we were pregnant at the same OU football game last fall and we had babies born one day apart!  Jack was born on May 6th and was 1 oz bigger than Addison.  We think Jack and Addison are destined for each other!

It was so fun getting the babies together and meeting Jack.  He is precious and so well behaved.  Addison put on quite the show by spitting up on just about everything (so sorry Emily).  Every once in a while she has one of those days and apparantly she wanted to show Jack her talents.

Here you have two little ones that don't really understand the Sooner blood they were born into but we cannot wait until they are at OU together.  Not that we will make Addison go to OU or anything.
I wish we thought to get a picture of the 6 of us.  We definitely will have to next time!

Thanks John for taking the great pictures and for letting me steal them from you - The Montgomerys.

First Day of School

Addison had her very first, official "First Day of School" today and she did great!
We are so excited about Addison's school and know she is going to get loved on by her sweet teachers.  There are only two babies in her class.  How great is that!?
Addison has been loved on by her Nana, Mimi, and Aunt Ashley since Mommy went back to work.  Spoiled!  I work from home and would give anything to have her home with me all day but I wouldn't get anything done with those sweet cheeks around.
I couldnt't wait to pick up this smiling face this afternoon.
Enough pictures already!  This little one was ready for her big day.

Announcing...

Addison's birth announcements went out a while back but is worth documenting on the blog of course. Addison was 2 weeks old when we had her newborn pictures taken.  It took a little while to get her to sleep and our photographer was so patient.  I just want to pinch those little belly rolls.

Thank you Sara's Photo Creations for her adorable pictures!

Addison: 3 Months Old

Sweet, baby girl - you are 3 months old!  You are changing so much every day and it is so much fun seeing your personality shine.  Our hearts melt when you smile back and "talk" to us.  You have so much to say these days.

At 3 months you ...
  • are eating 5 oz at every feeding (at least), 6 feedings a day
  • lately you have been eating more before bed; the other night you ate 7 oz at your 10 pm feeding!
  • LOVE your hands, especially in your mouth
  • go to sleep with your pacifier but do not keep it in
  • are rocked to sleep at night, one of my favorite times of the day
  • sleeping consistently 6 hours straight at night, 10:30 pm to 4:30 am.  Sometimes we make it longer and every once in a while you have an "off" night.  You usually just want your pacifier at 4:30 and will go back to sleep until close to 7 am.
  • still sleep in your crib swaddled
  • slowly outgrowing your 0-3/3 mo clothes and have started wearing a few of your 3-6/6 mo outfits
  • are on your last box of size 1 diapers, getting ready to start wearing size 1-2
  • LOVE to stand and are so strong!
  • are SO close to rolling over from your back to your tummy if those silly arms would get out of your way
  • enjoy the bright colors and lights of the television
  • will play on your play-mat by yourself for a while, you like the bright lights and music
  • sit with Mommy and Daddy in your Bumbo on top of the dining room table during dinner.  We love having you join us.
  • LOVE singing songs and making hand motions (Wheels on the Bus, Patty Cake, Itsy Bitsy Spider, etc.)
  • still have all your hair
  • weigh 13 lbs 8 oz;  we don't see Dr. G this month so I am not sure that is completely accurate.

Here are some more pictures from our photo shoot today.

And... she's done.
We love you Addison, smiles and tears, and cannot wait to see what your fourth month brings.
