Easter Blessings and a Happy, Happy Birthday!

Happy Easter from the Carsons!

We soaked up some family time this past weekend celebrating Easter and my Mom's birthday.  It had been a couple months since we saw B and the boys so we were all so excited to share some time together.  We had such a fun weekend making sugar cookies, dyeing Easter eggs, playing outside, and just loving being together as a family.  Logan helped Aunt Ashley make a birthday cake for Nana too!  Here are some pictures of our weekend.
Love this picture of Logan with Nana!

And the finished product... Logan was so proud and LOVED his cookies.
Aiden was napping during our cookie making but once he was up, it was time for some outside fun.
Josh absolutely adores these boys and the ages they are at.  J and Logan had some fun playing baseball.

And those silly boys also did some of this... spinning.  They thought Uncle Josh was pretty awesome and their giggles were so precious.
Next up... dyeing Easter eggs!  It is tradition in our family that not only does everyone present pick out the color for their egg but we also call those that cannot be with us and get their color requests as well.  So yes, my brother in South Carolina got a phone call so Logan could dye their eggs.
We laugh but we all love it and Easter just wouldn't be the same!
Logan got a Curious George Easter book from Nana that came with stickers to decorate your eggs so of course we all got a little bit of Curious George on our eggs this year.
In the middle of our Easter fun we also celebrated the birthday of someone extra special, our Mom. We are so thankful for everything Mom has taught us, especially the importance of family.  We are blessed beyond measure.  Words truly cannot describe the incredible Mom, Nana, and friend she is.  We love you Mom!
After church and a fabulous lunch on Easter Sunday, the boys enjoyed their egg hunt outside before the bad weather moved in and I snagged a couple pictures of Brandon with his little guys. Aiden is a "cheeser".
Excuse our lovely hair ... it was a little windy!
We hope you had a wonderful Easter with those you love!

38 Weeks

We are 38 weeks along our journey as of yesterday.   Believe it or not, she has dropped a little bit.  Only 1 week and 6 days to go until our little girl's due date. We cannot believe it! We had a wonderful checkup with our doctor yesterday and are making some progress. She is estimating our baby girl weighs in the high 7's and her heartbeat is steady in the 130s. We have another ultrasound next week to get a better look at her size and weight and of course another checkup with our doctor.  We will meet our little one the week of May 9th for sure if she hasn't arrived yet.  We are praying our little girl comes on her own, when she is ready!

Whooaaa Belly!

We are 36 weeks tomorrow!  I cannot believe how fast this time has gone.  Everyone said it would fly by and I feel like it was just yesterday that we were going for our first OB visit.  We have started going to the doctor every week now.  Last week we had a wonderful report and another ultrasound to check our little girl's growth.  My belly and our little one is measuring a couple weeks ahead of schedule and the ultrasound estimates her weight at 7 lbs already.... hence WHOOOAAA BELLY! Our doctor, who we just love, thinks she is really at about 6.5 lbs.  Her heartbeat has stayed steady all along, in the 140s.  My BP and everything else looks good too!  I still feel really great.  I have found I am a little more limited to the time on my feet but I am still sleeping wonderfully at night.  Poor Josh has found himself on the couch a couple times in the middle of the night because this belly doesn't always make room for him.   Sure, everyday things are getting a little harder like picking something off of the floor but that is to be expected.
35 weeks, 4 days
We feel so blessed to experience this journey of becoming parents.   There is just nothing like it!  We are so excited and so ready to meet our little girl.   Our bags are semi-packed and her car seat is in the car.  By semi-packed I mean I have my stuff and little bit's things sitting in a suitcase right inside her room.  I need to wash a load of her clothes this weekend. Any great recommendations on things to take to the hospital.... we are all ears!   No, I didnt forget about Josh - he says he will handle himself so I say "Go for it Daddy".   My plan this weekend is to wrap up those final to do's (ie. wash clothes, cook/freeze some meals, update the blog, etc.) and really sit back, relax, and enjoy these last few weeks as a family of two.
